Various Spanish organizations and institutions involved in the library sphere, with representation in the IFLA, have joined forces to organize this International Library Conference. Seven IFLA sections will hold their mid-term meetings during the event and have worked together to prepare two symposiums around the slogan “Culture, Knowledge and Community”.

Barcelona will host the international library community between October 6 and 9 on this unprecedented occasion, at which the Best Public Library of the Year Award and the Green Library Award will also be announced.

Dear Participant,

We are pleased to inform you that access to the Conference has been modified because the conference building is surrounded by renovation works.

We recommend that you access the site via Carrer d’Urgell, in front of number 232, about 30 meters above the main entrance. We attach the access plan.

A simultaneous interpretation service in English, Spanish and Catalan will be provided at all plenary sessions at the auditorium.
The rest of the sessions will be only in English.
